• | Put wood in a dishwasher, microwave, or oven. |
• | Leave wood in standing water or filled with liquid for long periods. |
• | Let wood completely dry out and not oil it for four months at a time. |
• | Let organic items spoil in a wooden bowl. |
• | Use vegetable, olive oil, mineral oil or waxes on our products to recondition your wood as they do not absorb fully into the wood grain, causing bacteria to grow. |
