March 24th through April 20th
Simon Pearce is honored to hold its first annual Audubon and Simon Pearce Birdhouse Event from March 24th through April 20th at Simon Pearce retail stores. During the event, Simon Pearce will unveil the one-of-a-kind Simon Pearce Birdhouse sculptures created for this special occasion. The event is part of Simon Pearce's continued commitment to supporting local communities and preserving the environment.
During the event, 100% of proceeds from the sale of these birdhouses will benefit participating Audubon organizations. In addition, Simon Pearce will donate 10% of Audubon members' purchase of glass and pottery designs to participating Audubon organizations. Audubon members will enjoy a 10% savings on Simon Pearce glass and pottery. An online auction will feature three birdhouses, with the winning bidders designating the participating Audubon organization that will receive 100% of the proceeds of their purchase.
The Birdhouses
Each of the Simon Pearce Birdhouses is unique in its design and hand-signed by Simon Pearce. The creation of our birdhouses was a collaboration among several departments here at Simon Pearce. They symbolize the company's philosophy of recycling and reuse and of supporting the arts and environmental projects. The birdhouses are made from wooden forms used by our master glassblowers to create original Simon Pearce hand blown glass designs. We transformed these retired wooden forms into "found object" artworks and incorporated glass birds created by our master glassblowers.
